Roy Forbes

Roy A. Forbes, 87, of Hilo died June 18, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired industrial relations director for the former Hamakua Sugar Co., member of the Hilo United Methodist Church, A&A Scottish Rite of Hilo-Kilauea Masonic Lodge and an Army veteran.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. June 29 at the Hilo United Methodist Church for an 11 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Hilo United Methodist Church or Hilo Medical Center Foundation.

He is survived by wife, Allie Forbes of Hilo; daughters, Lee Ann (Gayland) Wohlgemuth of Anchorage, Alaska, Jeannie (Rob) Hanson of Seattle; stepson, Kim (Diana) Lorch of Las Vegas; stepdaughters, Robin Racoma of Kapolei, Oahu, Wendy (Rick) Turk of Eureka, Calif., Kerry Lorch of Redwood City, Calif.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
